Coco Beach Island Resort is a 10 hectare resort owned and operated by Sun Holiday, Inc.; and is located at Behija, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. The resort became operational on November 1986 and is currently a member of Philippine Convention &Visitor's Corporation (PCVC), a member of Hotel & Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP), and is accredited as a Class "AA" Resort by the Department of Tourism.

Here in the old days, Spanish galleons passed by the trading routes between Europe, Mexico and the East. Here, the sea is blue and full of beautiful fish and corals in different colors and shapes, and here the hills are full of coconut palms swaying with the breeze.

Ideas from the founder, designs from Danish and Filipino architects, many nights of planning under the palms of the cove plus the ingenuity and hard work of Filipinos - created Coco Beach.

Today, Coco Beach is a 10 hectare resort with bungalows and facilities all made in natural materials. No concrete is to be seen anywhere.

Accomodations:

Heritage
Heritage has twelve air-condition rooms that were named after tribes in the Philippines. It has one day bed... a stair going to the attic where the two more beds are located, a bathroom and one toilet which are separated. This building is located at the back so there is no seaview. A big hall called Fiesta Pavilion is on the top floor which can accomodate up to thousand people

Suite Room
From the outside it looks like something similar to the bungalow deluxe rooms... but inside it is a lot bigger. There is a small sitting area and a bedroom separated by a sliding door. Of course it has it's own private toilet and bathroom... And it's own private balcony and of course there is a hammock.

Family Deluxe Room
All guests with young or older children, we try to give them out family deluxe rooms, there are 4 very large two-floor cottages. 16 family deluxe rooms. These rooms are definitely our luxurious rooms.

Banana Deluxe House
Consists all of one house with only one room, it is very private and in fact there is only one curtain in front out to the big balcony... all these balconies have a splendid view directly to the sea... no door... this together with a quite nice big bathroom in the back makes the room different from anything else. Even the room itself is quite small - it gives an incredible intimacy and a couple feels the "jungle" and the hundreds of Banana palms around. These rooms have very nice seaview.

Super Banana Deluxe
Same as an ordinary Banana House but have an extra little floor attic, for maybe two smaller children or in some cases these houses are good for couples who want to look at stars at night. These houses are the highest at hall in our hills - it might take 15 minutes to go there. Like the Banana House, they are located way up high on the hill.

Bungalow / Old Classic Deluxe
Filipinos or Asians prefer bigger and more convertible rooms. Mostly we give them the old bungalows - in one bungalow there are two rooms... these are also good for two couples who want to stay near each other. All the Bungalows have also private balcony with a hammock and has seaview. Only 2 rooms are on ground level but quite far from the restaurant.

Standard Room
All the rooms are in one row much like an apartment row. Rooms are quite small but can occupy 4 persons... it has a unique bunk bed... there are actually 3 beds, 1 double bed and 2 single beds... as it is located at the back of the resort near the basketball / tennis court, there is no seaview.

Our huts are made entirely of native materials. Of course our modern designers have incorporated many contemporary touches, but you will surely find our accommodations a unique and delightful experience during your stay here.All rooms have their own private shower and toilet, with a service family assigned to look after your needs throughout your stay. None of our rooms are air-conditioned. We make use of "natural" air conditioning!.

There are 4 restaurants in Coco Beach alone. This comes as no surprise because in the Philippines, eating is a national passion! Here at Coco Beach Island Resort, we've raised dining to a new level of enjoyment.

Childrens Playground
parents can of course enjoy their holiday knowing that their children are having fun and being taken care of. It is constructed like a small Filipino village, built of strong and sturdy natural materials.

Dive Shop
Offers the very best service to beginners and professionals. It has the newest Scubapro and Seaquest dive gear and equipment, a large area for equipment wash-off, an area for safekeeping, class/video room, etc.

Bar and Music Lounge with Billiards
A place where you can relax in the early evening. The huge round bar is a good place to sit with a good drink and talk with other guests or with the bartenders who might challenge you some cork games or a round of billiard.

Internet Cafe and Wireless Access
Having a nice holiday on an island does not necessarily mean you are out of touch. Browse the worldwide web or send and received emails to and from anywhere in the world. We have a 512Kbps Leased line Internet Connection.

Medical Clinic
The doctor has his clinic on the second floor of the arcade. It is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Beside a competent doctor, we also have an efficient nurse. They are both very kind and helpful. They are on call 24 hours, ask any of the staff and the doctor will be called to see you in the clinic or in your room.

There are several ways you can get to Coco Beach Island Resort. If you're in Manila, the simplest is to let us do all the work for you, and hop on the Coco Beach Express .

This shuttle service leaves from the Coco Beach office in Manila everyday at 6:30 in the morning. (The shuttle sometimes leaves earlier to pick up guests from their hotels). If you're already in Batangas, take the regular ferry in the city port that is bound to Puerto Galera. When you get to Puerto Galera, hire a banca to transport you to Coco Beach Island Resort, which lies only 10 minutes across the cove.
