La Laguna Beach Resort in Puerto Galera,

It is our pleasure to introduce you to La Laguna Beach Club and Dive Centre Philippines.

Nestled in the center of Beautiful Big Lalaguna where the sand is white and water is crystal clear, alive with tropical fish and coral, LaLaguna Beach Club was constructed in 1992 and is a 31-room hotel (28 rooms offering air-conditioning and mini bar, cable TV, plus 3 cottages with electric fans). All rooms offer bathrooms and modern comforts including hot water. 

There are 6 family rooms available, consisting of 1 double bed and a set of bunk beds. (Stretcher beds and mattresses available for children.)

Other popular activities which can be offered by the resort are beach picnics, mountain hiking, golfing and fishing. The Beach Club also offers dive trips to other destinations aboard our live-aboard M.V. Rags.

 


 Accomodations

La Laguna Beach Club and Dive Centre was constructed in 1992 and is a 31-room hotel (28 rooms offering air-conditioning and mini bar, cable TV plus 3 cottages with electric fan). All rooms offer bathrooms and modern comforts including hot water.

There are 6 family rooms available, consisting of 1 double bed and a set of bunk beds. (Extra beds and mattresses available.)

Facilities:
The La Laguna Hotel and Cottages are built around a landscaped swimming pool with diver training facilities.

The resort has its own generators, so as to offer 24 hours of power. Other features include a first class restaurant and bar offering international and local delicacies. The upstairs bar features lounge area, cable TV, pool table and large balcony where you can relax and watch the day go by. There is a book exchange library, Local and IDD telephone dialing facility, guest use of email service and on-going travel arrangements can also be made.

 


The resort also offers 24 hour security/safekeeping facilities, cable TV and video, foreign exchange, major credit cards are accepted and a direct airport V.I.P transportation arrangement.

Jungle Trek - One hour boat ride west of Puerto Galera to Kamagong on the Island of Mindoro. We hike from the shoreline through beautiful valleys and easy with the crossings to where we base our self beside a large crystal clear pool surrounded by huge boulders, where we have lunch.

This area is populated by half native (Mangyan tribes), and half Filipino so watch out for some very interesting characters! And don't forget your camera…….Breathtaking scenes abound.

After lunch, you are feel free to do as you like… Swimming, snorkeling, nature walks or why not hike upstream between the boulders, stunning waterfall and a magnificent rainforest. Late afternoon we break camp and return to the seaside where a boat will bring us back to the resort.

Aklag River Kayak Tour - Depart the resort early morning for one hour, jeepney ride through scenic mountains along he coastline to the Aklag river bridge. After unloading the kayaks, we take a leisurely paddle downstream, breaking for lunch by the side of the river. It takes 31/2 to 5 hours depending on the river flow to reach the river delta where a banca boat awaits to take us on a cruise (with drinks) back to the resort.

Sea Kayaking and Snorkeling - At your leisure, take a kayak and snorkeling equipment from the resort and paddle along the beautiful beaches and coves of Puerto Galera. Take a picnic lunch and drinks if you want and stop off at one of the white sandy coral beaches.

Ponderosa Golf Tour - Depart the resort at your leisure for short boat and jeepney ride up to the beautiful Ponderosa golf club. And ingenious 9 hole par 3 course cut out of the side of the mountain, you can play the course with the owner or simply relax at the club small bar and restaurant and just enjoy the incredible panoramic view over Puerto Galera and Batangas Bays.

Sunset Cruise - Departing the resort late afternoon, aboard the M/B Rags heading west along the Mindoro coast line towards the setting sun to experience the grandeur of the sunset over the South China Sea. Relax and enjoy the food and drinks. Returning back to the resort around 7:00 PM.

Getting here: - Puerto Galera lies approximately 100 miles due south of Manila. The place is situated on the north tip of Mindoro island across the Verdi island passage from Luzon (the main island where Manila is situated.) Travel time to Puerto Galera is around five hours by bus and ferry. Upon arrival to Puerto Galera you travel to the resort via local motorized outrigger boat (banca).

A tourist transport operator (SIKAT LTD) operates from the City State Tower Hotel in Mabini St., Ermita Manila. The tourist coach leaves at precisely 8am---7 days a week. You alight at the port of Batangas for your ferry to Puerto Galera. The bus and ferry trip takes about4-5 hours. Cost is approx US$15 per person return. The ferry leaves Puerto Galera also everyday at 9:00am to connect to the bus in Batangas. 

The Swagman Manila also operate a bus leaving at 7.45 every morning from hotel in Ermita, Manila, approx Peso 350.00.

La Laguna Beach Club and Dive Centre offers direct VIP airport transfers. The cost of a private vehicle is P2,400.00 to Batangas. The cost of a boat directly to the Beach Club from Batangas is P2,200.00, but depending on the number of passengers. (This is regulated by the Philippine Coast Guard.) Total travel time is approximately 4 1/2 hours.

Due to Coast Guard regulations, private boat travel can be restricted, please check with the Beach Club as to whether your arrival time in Manila is compatible.
